Brief Company Profile

Aygaz was the first company in the Koç Group to operate in the energy sector. Ever since it was founded in 1961, Aygaz has been the leader of the LPG sector and has managed to become one of the five largest LPG companies in Europe because of the advances it has accomplished. In addition to distributing auto gas, cylinder gas and bulk gas, Aygaz also produces and sells gas appliances. Aygaz has become a household name in Turkey for cylinder gas because of its innovation and dependability, two primary characteristics that have kept the company ahead of its competitors throughout its lifetime. Being one of the flagship companies in the Koç Group, Aygaz has strengthened its brand image by focusing its half-century of experience, its knowledge and its product range on changing customer needs.

With almost 3,300 cylinder gas dealers and auto gas stations in 81 provinces, Aygaz also produces LPG cylinders, valves and regulators and exports them to 15 countries located in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Aygaz has combined all energy companies in the Koç Energy Group other than those dealing with petroleum fuel and refineries under its umbrella.

The 9th largest industrial company in the Turkish private sector, Aygaz is the first and only public company operating in the LPG sector. Thanks to its extensive distribution network, Aygaz cylinders are delivered to over 100,000 homes every day, while nearly one million vehicles run on Aygaz's auto gas product, Aygaz Euro LPG+.

With LPG storage volume of 170,000 m3 at 5 filling terminals and 10 filling facilities, Aygaz has more storage capacity than any other company in Turkey. The company has sea terminals at Yarımca, Ambarlı, Aliağa, Dörtyol and Samsun, as well as filling facilities at Bursa, Eskişehir, Safranbolu, Işıkkent, Isparta, Diyarbakır, Kırıkkale, Lüleburgaz, Ankara and Mersin.

LPG that is procured at domestic refineries or via imports is brought to sea terminals through pipelines and vessels. From here, it is transported to filling facilities via a fleet of tanker trucks. After being stored at sea terminals and filling facilities, where cylinders are also filled, LPG is distributed to customers in the form of bulk gas and cylinder gas through Aygaz dealers and auto gas stations spread out all over Turkey.
The first company in Turkey to have a fleet of LPG ships, Aygaz has four LPG vessels that have high capacity, and are specially equipped to import LPG and transport between the sea terminals. Aygaz also has a fleet of almost 250 modern tanker trucks that are used for bulk gas and auto gas sales as well as transporting LPG between facilities.

Aygaz cylinders, tanks, valves and regulators are produced using the latest technology at the Gebze Facility, which has an ISO 9001 Quality Certificate. Products undergo tests required by international standards to ensure the highest quality and dependability before they are sold on domestic and foreign markets.

The first Industrial Automation System was brought online at the Yarımca Filling Terminal in 2004, while the second was made operational at the Aliağa Filling Terminal in 2009. Investments are still in progress at the Dörtyol Filling Terminal. Investments are ongoing in the area of fire safety as part of the additional measures required by law in 2009.
